Building on our industry-- leading family of condensing furnaces,
the Plus 95st, model 355CAV with the consistent comfort that is
provided by Bryant’s PerfectSenset feature is our greatest
advancement to date.
In fact, temperature and humidity control, operating efficiency,
installation flexibility (and simplicity), and quiet operation are all
evidence of Bryant’s ingenuity.
The PerfectSense feature provides up to 73% more consistent
temperature control than single stage furnaces. This comfort is
achieved through Bryant’s modulating operation, and the many
patented features found in our PerfectSense control. This control
senses the heating needs of the home, and interacts with the
mulit--stage gas valve, a variable--speed inducer motor, and
variable--speed blower motor, allowing the Plus 95s to adjust
combustion air, firing rate, and airflow to maintain peak ef ficiency
and exceptional comfort throughout the operating cycle.
These important components also contribute to exceptionally quiet
operation as well, especially when the Plus 95s operates in it’s
lowest stage of heating operation. Inducer motor and blower motor
operation and gas consumption all adjust to their lowest and
quietest levels. This quiet operation can be enjoyed the majority of
the year, as the Plus 95s can operate as frequently as 83% of the
time during heating operation.
The Plus 95s also achieves heating efficiencies of 95 percent
Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency (AFUE) in the upflow
configuration. The Plus 95s provides the ultimate in electrical
efficiency as well, due to the tried and true patented Everlastict
secondary heat exchanger, and it’s industry--leading low air-- side
pressure drop.
This ultra-- highly efficient 4-- way multipoise gas furnace is not
only flexible in terms of how it can be installed, but is as easy to
install as any Bryant condensing furnace equipped with the
Evolutiont solution, as compared to other, more complicated
modulating furnaces from other manufacturers.
Bryant Evolution System—When this Plus 95s gas furnace is
matched with the Evolution Control and an air conditioner or heat
pump, homeowners will experience the ultimate in PerfectSense
and Perfect Humidity features through unmatched control of
temperature, humidity, indoor air quality, and zoning. The Bryant
Evolution System also allows for worry--free operation through
on--screen, text--based service reminders and equipment
malfunction alerts.
For even greater comfort and convenience, match the Plus 95s
furnace with a two--speed Puron air conditioner or heat pump
(Bryant’ s Hybrid Heatt dual fuel system!) This will create a fully
communicating system, requiring only 4 thermostat wires between
system components, and some troubleshooting can even be done
from the outdoor unit without entering the home. Optional remote
access through telephone or Internet is also available when
combined with a remote connectivity kit.

Overview

The Bryant Plus 95s, Model 355CAV, is a deluxe 4-way multipoise variable-speed multi-stage condensing gas furnace designed to provide consistent comfort and high efficiency. This furnace is a significant advancement in heating technology, offering superior temperature and humidity control, flexible installation, and quiet operation.

At its core, the Plus 95s features Bryant's PerfectSense™ technology, which ensures up to 73% more consistent temperature control compared to single-stage furnaces. This is achieved through modulating operation, where the furnace intelligently senses the home's heating needs. It interacts with a multi-stage gas valve, a variable-speed inducer motor, and a variable-speed blower motor to precisely adjust combustion air, firing rate, and airflow. This continuous adjustment maintains peak efficiency and exceptional comfort throughout the entire operating cycle, preventing the wide temperature swings often experienced with less advanced systems.

One of the key benefits of this precise modulation is exceptionally quiet operation. During its lowest stage of heating, which can be up to 83% of the heating operation, the inducer and blower motors, along with gas consumption, adjust to their lowest and quietest levels. This makes for a peaceful home environment, largely free from the disruptive noise of traditional furnaces cycling on and off.

The Plus 95s also boasts impressive energy efficiency, achieving 95 percent Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency (AFUE) in the upflow configuration. This high efficiency is further enhanced by the patented Everlastic™ secondary heat exchanger and its industry-leading low air-side pressure drop, which contribute to excellent electrical efficiency.

Installation flexibility is another hallmark of this furnace. Its 4-way multipoise design allows it to be installed in upflow, downflow, horizontal left, or horizontal right orientations, making it adaptable to various home layouts. Despite its advanced features, the Plus 95s is designed for straightforward installation, comparable to other Bryant condensing furnaces equipped with the Evolution™ solution, and simpler than many other modulating furnaces on the market.

When paired with the Bryant Evolution Control and an air conditioner or heat pump, the Plus 95s becomes part of the comprehensive Bryant Evolution System. This system unlocks the full potential of PerfectSense™ and Perfect Humidity features, offering unmatched control over temperature, humidity, indoor air quality, and zoning. The Evolution System also provides peace of mind with worry-free operation, thanks to on-screen, text-based service reminders and equipment malfunction alerts. For enhanced convenience, matching the Plus 95s with a two-speed Puron® air conditioner or heat pump (Bryant's Hybrid Heat™ dual fuel system) creates a fully communicating system that requires only four thermostat wires between components. Troubleshooting can even be performed from the outdoor unit, and optional remote access via telephone or Internet is available with a remote connectivity kit.

The PerfectSense/Perfect Humidity Control includes several additional features: dedicated terminals for electrical connection of electronic air cleaners and humidifiers, adjustable blower off time, an LED fault code display for easy servicing, selectable airflow to match the cooling unit, a setting to increase airflow for bypass-type humidifiers, and Fan On Plus™ for selectable constant fan airflow from any Bryant thermostat. It also offers a multizone setting for zoned air distribution systems and a special dehumidification function that enhances cooling comfort by removing more humidity in summer. Perfect Humidity controls humidity even when there is no active heating or cooling demand.

The furnace incorporates three-pass primary heat exchangers made of aluminized steel for corrosion resistance, which accelerate heat transfer and extract heat that would otherwise be wasted. Flow-through secondary heat exchangers, laminated with patented Everlastic™ polypropylene and epoxy coated, provide superior corrosion resistance and extend furnace life. These exchangers are positioned to extract additional heat regardless of furnace orientation.

Ignition is handled by Bryant's unique Perfect Light™ Igniter, a robust SiN igniter capable of running at line voltage without complex voltage regulators, further enhancing reliability. The Fan On Plus feature allows homeowners to select continuous fan speed directly from the thermostat, improving year-round comfort. SmartEvap™ technology reduces summertime humidity levels by nearly 10% compared to standard systems.

For improved indoor air quality, a media filter cabinet is a standard accessory on all Deluxe furnaces, allowing for easy addition of a Bryant high-efficiency media air filter. The fully-insulated casing, with foil-faced insulation in the heat exchanger section and double-density insulation in the blower section, minimizes heat loss and reduces noise. The casing also includes necessary openings for left- or right-side connections of gas, electric, drain, and vent.

Variable-speed motors are fundamental to PerfectSense and Perfect Humidity, improving comfort, operating more economically than standard motors, and adapting to changing conditions for consistent, comfortable, and quiet heating. The sealed combustion system draws combustion air from outside the furnace, contributing to quiet operation. Monoport inshot burners ensure precise air-to-gas mixture for clean burning, typically requiring no cleaning.

The Plus 95s is engineered and manufactured under an ISO 9001 registered quality system, ensuring high standards. It is CSA (A.G.A. and C.G.A.) design certified for use with natural and propane gases (with a conversion kit for propane) and meets GAMA efficiency rating certifications. It also complies with California Air Quality Management District emission requirements.
