7.5 Laser unit replacement
The LASER unit needs to be replaced at failure. This action can be performed by a trained operator or
(preferably) by a service technician.

Risk electric shock and burns by remaining high-voltage load at the LASER module
• Do not disconnect the white plug from the laser power supply

NOTICE
Risk of optical misalignment and damage at the LASER module.
• Do not touch the optical surfaces of the module
• Handle the module with care i.e. do not expose the module to heavy impacts
• Handle the module at the base plate only
To replace the laser, proceed as follows:
• Loosen the two screws on the left rear of the
instrument approximately 3-5 turns.
• Remove the cover.
For easy release of the laser housing it is recom-
mended to slightly tilt the housing and then pull
it horizontally away from the instrument. There
is a built-in sensor to record the opening of the
housing.
