Why does the Buderus Logano GE434 main flame burn for only a few minutes before shutting off?
    • G
      Garrett MartinAug 6, 2025
If the Buderus Boiler's main flame burns for only 2 to 5 minutes before shutting off and restarting after 15 minutes, with the control device intermittently indicating a fault, it may be due to the integral flue gas monitor detecting flue gas escaping from the draught hood. You should determine and remedy the cause for insufficient flue draught. If the fault cannot be remedied immediately, shut the burner down.

What to do if Buderus Logano GE434 burner faults 3 minutes after start, showing no ignition spark?
    • E
      Edgar NelsonAug 11, 2025
If your Buderus Boiler burner starts but goes into a fault state approximately 3 minutes after the second start, displaying a fault on the control device and not recognizing an ignition spark, check if an ignition spark is audible with the ignition cable pulled off. If not, replace the intermittent ignition. If yes, replace the ignition electrode or pilot burner.

Why is there a flue gas odor in my Buderus Logano GE434 room?
    • M
      Mr. Ryan MasonAug 16, 2025
If the Buderus Boiler has a flue gas odor inside the boiler room, it could be due to flue gas escaping around the draught hood or deposits/fiber contamination on the heat exchanger surface. Determine and remedy the cause for insufficient flue draught. Shut the burner down if the fault cannot be remedied immediately. Also, check for deposits or fiber contamination on the heat exchanger surface through the clean-out cover and combustion chamber and clean the boiler dry or, if required, wet.

What causes a Buderus Logano GE434 Boiler to fault after 3 minutes with a good pilot flame but no ionization current?
    • B
      benjamin19Aug 22, 2025
If the Buderus Boiler burner starts but faults about 3 minutes after the second start, displaying a fault and having a perfect pilot flame but no measurable ionization current, it might be because the N and L leads are interchanged. Remedy the fault.

What causes a Buderus Boiler's main flame not to burn when the pilot is lit?
    • R
      Richard BuchananAug 27, 2025
If the Buderus Boiler's main flame does not burn but the pilot flame burns constantly without any fault indication, it could be due to wiring issues, a faulty gas solenoid valve or burner control unit, or poor contact. Correct wiring in accordance with the wiring diagram. Check the gas solenoid valve or burner control unit, and replace faulty parts, if required. Check and replace contacts, if required.

What to do if my Buderus Boiler burner clicks but doesn't start during initial setup?
    • D
      dtaylorAug 31, 2025
If the Buderus Boiler burner starts during initial start-up, the gas valve click is audible, but there's no further reaction and the control device shows no fault, it means that the burner control unit detects insufficient gas pressure. Remedy the installation fault.
