3.1.1 MOUNTING POSITIONS
The 8045 electromagnetic flow transmitter can be mounted in the following
ways to obtain an accurate flow measurement although the piping should be
designed to ensure that the pipe is maintained full at all times to avoid
inaccurate measurement.
Mounting horizontally

Mounting vertically

When mounting vertically ensure that the flow direction is in an upward
direction as indicated by the arrow.

It is advisable to mount the transmitter at a 45°
angle to the horizontal centre of the pipe as
shown in the diagram.
