MAINTENANCE
Before operating your Tiller, make sure it is properly lubricated and thoroughly in-
spected. Only a minimum of time and effort is required to regularly lubricate and main-

Always disengage the PTO before raising the Tiller for transporting or
making adjustments.
LUBRICATION INFORMATION
Do not let excess grease collect on or around parts, particularly when operating in sandy
areas. Severe or unusual conditions may require more frequent lubrication.
Use an SAE multi-purpose, lithium-type grease for all locations shown. Be sure to clean the
fitting thoroughly before using grease gun.
OUTBOARD BEARING
Grease the Outboard Bearing located
on the right hand side of the tiller.
GREASE FITTING
Lubricate every 8 Hours
LUBRICATION
Before each use gearbox should be checked to be sure oil is at the proper levels. Operating the Machine with
the oil levels to low or to high can severly damage the machine. If it is determined that oil is needed follow these
steps.
NOTE: Make sure the Gearbox is level prior to removing the Inspection plug. Tilting forward may result
in over filling, tilting back may result in under filling. Use GL5-85W 140 or Triple Zero Grease which can
be poured and has an “EP” Extreme Pressure Additives in the Gearboxes.
TOP GEARBOX
1. Remove the vent plug on the top of the gearbox and the small inspection plug at the rear of the gearbox.
2. Pour the gear oil into the vent plug hole slowly until the oil starts to come out of the small hole at the rear.
DO NOT OVER FILL THE GEARBOX!
3. Replaces the small Inspection Plug and the Vent Plug. Clean up any excess gear oil.
