7 Service and maintenance
Every technical appliance requires regular service and maintenance work to maintain correct
functioning.
I CAUTION!
Drinking water is a foodstuff Hygienic care when handling the filter system should
therefore be a matter of course. Clean the outside of
the filter system regularly with a damp cloth and work
cleanly when replacing the filter cartridge. Avoid using
corrosive chemicals and cleaning agents.
Check for leaks Daily
Check the pressure hoses Regular check for breaks and pinch points. Broken
hoses must be replaced.
Break in operation After a break in operation exceeding two days, the filter
cartridge must be flushed with a minimum of 4–5 litres of
water.
Replace filter cartridge After 12 months at the latest (regardless of the residual
capacity); after a shutdown period of 4 weeks or more
Replace filter head After 5 to 10 years
Replace pressure hoses After 5 years
f Failure to respect the filter replacement intervals may cause damage to the downstream
appliances.
f Failure to replace the filter head or the hoses can cause property damage.
