When the midgate is lowered
with the rear glass stored in
the storage pocket, the entire
crossbar will lower with the
midgate, making it much
heavier. Be prepared for the
extra weight so the midgate
does not fall.
Reverse the steps to raise the
midgate.
When lifting the midgate, push it
firmly so that it latches securely in
place.
If necessary, reinstall the midgate
glass.

Tailgate
CAUTION
Do not let anyone ride where
they cannot wear a safety belt
properly. If you are in a crash
and you are not wearing a
safety belt, you can be seriously
injured or killed.
It is extremely dangerous for
passengers to ride on the
tailgate, even when the vehicle
is traveling at slow speeds.
Serious injuries, death and
ejection from the vehicle can
occur during a sudden vehicle
maneuver or collision.
Be sure everyone in your vehicle
is in a seat and using a safety
belt properly.
