Section 3
To start the vehicle using the
remote-start feature, do the
following:
1. Aim the transmitter at the
vehicle.
2. Press and release the lock
button and then immedi-
ately press and hold the
remote-start button until
the turn signal lights flash.
If the vehicle’s lights are not
visible, press and hold for at
least four seconds.
The vehicle’s doors will be
locked.
When the vehicle starts, the
parking lights will turn on. The
lights will stay on while the
vehicle is running.
Vehicle remote-start will activate
the heating and air conditioning
system when the vehicle starts.
The system will default to heating
mode when it is cold outside or
cooling mode when it is warm
outside.
Vehicle remote-start may activate
the following when the outside
temperature is cold:
• The rear window defogger
• The heated seats will be turned
on.
