  Loss of water pressure in your CalMag Water Dispenser can occur due to scaling or fouling of the inlet pipe. To resolve this, clean or replace the pipeline. It can also be caused by fouled resin, in which case you should clean the resin and pre-treat to prevent future fouling. Improper backwash can also cause this issue; in that case, contact CalMag to reset the backwash flow rate and/or adjust the time.

  Excessive water in the brine tank or salty water in your CalMag Water Dispenser might be due to a plugged drain line. To fix this, check the flow to the drain and clean the flow control. It could also be caused by a dirty or damaged brine valve, which requires cleaning or replacement. A plugged injector can also be the culprit; clean the injector and replace the screen. Low inlet pressure can cause this issue, so increase the pressure to allow the injector to perform properly (minimum 1.5 bar). A timer that is not cycling may also be the cause, so replace the timer. Finally, high water pressure can be the cause, so install a pressure reducing valve.

Another cause could be a plugged injector; clean or replace the injector and screen. Also, check if there's no water in the brine tank and look for restrictions in the BLFC, ensuring the safety float isn't stuck. The water pressure might be too low or high; line pressure must be at least 1.5 bar with a maximum of 5 bar. Finally, the brine line might be injecting air during brine draw, so check the brine line for air leaks.

Why is there a loss of capacity in my CalMag CalSoft Mini?

  Loss of capacity in your CalMag Water Dispenser can stem from several factors. Increased raw water hardness may be the cause, so reset the unit to the new hardness capacity. Ensure the brine concentration and quality are optimal by keeping the brine tank full of salt at all times and cleaning it yearly. Salt may be bridged; if using a salt grid plate, ensure refill water is over it. Resin fouling, poor distribution, internal valve leak, resin age or resin loss can also cause this issue. In this case, call CalMag. Also close bypass valve. Check for too slow or high service flow and check for media fouling.
