Cable grounding kit
Copper drop cable shields must be bonded to the grounding system in order to prevent lightningstrike arcing
(resulting in fire risk and damage to equipment).
One grounding kit (Figure 17) is required for each grounding point on the PSU. Order cable grounding kits from
Cambium Networks (Table 36).
Caution
To provide adequate protection, all grounding cables must be a minimum size of 10

mm csa (8AWG), preferably 16 mm csa (6AWG), or 25 mm csa (4AWG).

Lightning protection unit (LPU) and grounding kit
PMP/PTP 450i LPUs provide transient voltage surge suppression for ODU installations. Each PSU requires two LPUs,
one near the ODU and the other near the linked device, usually at the building entry point (Table 37).
