What to do if Canon B820 shows BUSY/NO SIGNAL error (#018)?

If your Canon Fax Machine displays a BUSY/NO SIGNAL error (#018), it could be due to several reasons. The dialed number might be busy, in which case you should simply call again later. Alternatively, the receiving fax machine may not be responding within 55 seconds; ask the other party to verify their fax machine's condition and try transmitting manually. For international calls, try adding a pause in the programmed number. It's also possible their machine isn't a G3 fax, so ask them to send or receive using G3. Ensure that your machine’s tone/pulse dial settings are correctly programmed for your telephone line.
