<Actions taken upon service visit to prevent the next call>
Reviewing the calls related to iR-ADV 8105 series, the ratio of jams and image issues is high. As to the pickup
related issues, many calls are jams caused by the friction of the pickup/feed/separation rollers and contamination
of the pickup sensor (optical sensor). As to the image related issues, many calls are "smudged image / streaked
image", "roller mark smudge", and "soil inside the machine".
Regarding the above issues, we believe that the future call is prevented by performing the following actions upon
service visit.
- Check the pickup/feed/separation rollers regarding the number of sheets used, and replace them as necessary.
- Check the contamination of the pickup sensor (optical sensor), and clean it.
- Check the primary charging wire and the pre-transfer charging wire, and replace them as necessary.
- Check the condition of "the fixing roller", "the feed roller inside the machine", "the roller in the Booklet Finisher",
and "the drive roller in the Professional Puncher" which cause the roller mark smudge, and c lean them as
necessary.
