    • K
      Kevin LeeAug 19, 2025
If your Canon Projector cannot project an image from a notebook computer, check that the connection cable is properly connected to the computer's video terminal and that the correct signal type is selected. Ensure that the external monitor output setting on the notebook is turned on, typically by pressing the [LCD] or [VGA] function key along with the [Fn] key. If the displayed image differs from the notebook, verify that the dual screen (multi-display) mode is not selected; change it to the simultaneous display mode.

Why does my Canon SX50 have no image?
    • J
      John KingAug 21, 2025
If your Canon Projector displays no image, several factors could be the cause. Ensure all connection cables are correctly connected to both the projector, computer, and AV equipment. If the projector has just been turned on, wait about 20 seconds for the Opening window to display, or press the [OK] button to project an image immediately. Also, verify that the connected digital camera, video camcorder, or DVD player is playing back an image. Ensure the correct video terminal is connected and the signal type is correctly selected. Check that the [NO SHOW] function is not selected by pressing the [NO SHOW] button on the remote control. If the issue stems from the computer, try turning on the projector and computer again in that order.

How to fix a Canon Projector when it is out of focus?
    • M
      Matthew KruegerAug 26, 2025
To resolve focus issues with your Canon Projector, first, adjust the focus. Ensure the lens cap has been removed. Verify that the distance to the screen is not too short; if it's less than about 3.9' (1.2 m), the image may not focus. Check that the projector is placed straight in front of the screen; correct any slight angle errors using keystone adjustment. If the projector has been moved from a cold to a warm place, condensation may have formed on the lens; wait for it to evaporate.

If your Canon Projector remote control isn't working, ensure the batteries are correctly installed or replace them. Make sure you're within the remote control's operating range and that there are no obstructions between the remote and the projector's infrared receiver. Check that the projector's infrared remote receiver isn't exposed to direct sunlight or strong light. Verify that the remote control code matches the projector setting in the System settings menu. Also, ensure that 'Key lock' is turned off in the System settings menu.

Why does my Canon Projector power turn off?
    • D
      david65Aug 30, 2025
Your Canon Projector may turn off unexpectedly if the air intake or exhaust vent is blocked, causing the internal temperature to rise. Wait for the projector to cool down, then turn it on again with the vents unblocked. Also, check if the air filter is clogged with dust and clean or replace it if necessary. The lamp may have burnt out or be defective, so inspect and replace it if needed. Ensure the operating temperature is within the range of 5 to 35 degrees Celsius.

Finally, verify that you are not using an audio cable with a built-in resistor; use an audio cable without one.
