The Ergo RC-A speaker is equipped with its own power switch. In the „0“
position the speaker’s bass amplifier is completely switched off and use of
the speaker is not possible. In the „1“ position, you can choose between
two modes of operation using the amplifier’s stand-by mode switch: at
„On“ – the output stage is always switched on; at „Auto“ – the output
stage switches on when a sound signal is received. Where there is no
sound signal the output switches off after a time delay of a few minutes.
The average power load while in stand-by mode is a approx.
0.5 watts (at 230V)!

Die Ergo RC-A ist mit einem Netzschalter ausgestattet. In der 0-Stellung ist
die Bassendstufe des Lautsprechers komplett abgeschaltet. Ein Betrieb ist
nicht möglich. In der 1-Stellung können Sie mit Hilfe des
Amplifier-Standby-Mode Schalters zwischen zwei Einschaltvarianten
wählen: “On” – die Endstufe ist immer eingeschaltet. “Auto” – bei einge-
hendem Tonsignal schaltet die Endstufe ein. Liegt kein Tonsignal an schaltet
die Endstufe zeitverzögert nach wenigen Minuten ab. Die
durchschnittliche Leistunsaufnahme in diesem Standby-Modus liegt bei nur
0,5 Watt (bei 230V)!
For stereo use the Ergo RC-A speakers should be positioned according to
the well-known rules of the “stereo triangle”. The distance between left
and right speakers should be the same as the distance between the listen-
er and each of the loudspeakers.
The drawing opposite illustrates how the Ergo RC-A speakers can be
integrated with a home cinema system. Two Ergo RC-A speakers, positioned
in front, form the basis of the system, which is completed by a center
speaker (e.g. Ergo CM 605) in close proximity to the picture source and
two surround speakers (e.g. Ergo 602) for depth.
Ergo RC-A spikes and silicon pucks are provided in order to allow the
loudspeakers to be raised off the floor. The spikes are attached via threaded
drill holes in the base plate of the speakers.
The silicon pucks, following removal of their protective film, can be stuck
directly onto the speakers’ base plates.
Im Stereobetrieb werden die Ergo RC-A nach der bekannten Regel des
“Stereo-Dreiecks” aufgestellt. Der Abstand zwischen linkem und rechtem
Lautsprecher sollte so groß sein wie die Distanz des Hörers zu den einzelnen
Lautsprechern.
Wie sich die Ergo RC-A in ein Heimkino System integrieren lassen, illustriert
die nebenstehende Zeichnung. Zwei Ergo RC-A bilden als Frontlautsprecher
die Basis. Ein “Center” (z.B. Ergo CM 605) in unmittelbarer Nähe der
Bildquelle und zwei “Surround-Speaker” (z.B. Ergo 602) für die Raumtiefe
machen das Heimkino System komplett.
Zur Entkopplung der Lautsprecher vom Fußboden liegen der Ergo RC-A
Spikes und Silicon Pucks bei. Zur Befestigung der Spikes befinden sich
Gewindebohrungen in der Bodenplatte des Lautsprechers.
Die Silicon Pucks können, nach Entfernen der Schutzfolie direkt auf die
Bodenplatte des Lautsprechers geklebt werden.
