Troubleshooting

Problem Possible cause Solution
Speaker system does
not respond to the
remote control�
1� The battery is empty 1� Replace the battery, make sure the polarity is
correct when inserting�
2� Protective film not removed� 2� Remove the protective film on the remote control�
No sound� 1� Sound format of the source device
selected is incorrectly
1� Please check the correct setting of your source device�
2� There is no signal from the player 2� Unlock the digital output on the source device, the
volume control might be set to “zero” and must be
increased (please refer to the manual of the device)�
3� Cable not connected correctly / defective cable� 3�1� Check the connection between the player and the
speaker system and replace the cable if necessary
3�2� Make sure that the protective caps on the connectors
of the optical cable are removed�
Sound reproduction
too soft�
1� Volume of the speaker system or the source
device is set too low
1� Increase the volume with the “Volume” button�
Increase the volume of the source device�
2� The max� possible volume was limited by
means of the “Volume” function (VOL)�
2� Increase the max� possible volume according
to instructions� (see Page 76)
Speaker system does
not turn on�
Mains cable not connected to power outlet
and / or speaker system�
Establish connection�
