DIAGNOSIS AND SOLUTION (CONT)
IPM Malfunction or IGBT over-strong current protection (PC00)
Description: If the IPM sends an abnormal voltage signal to the compressor drive chip, the LED displays the failure code and the unit turns off.
Recommended parts to repair:
• Communication wires
• IPM module board
• Outdoor fan assembly
• Compressor
• Outdoor PCB

Check the wiring between
the PCB and the compressor.
Does an error exist?
Ensure proper connections or
replace the wires and connectors.
Correct the installation, tighten the
screws and apply silicon grease.
Check if the IPM
is installed correctly.
IPM continuity check
Replace the IPM board or
replace the outoor PCB.
Check the outdoor fan and the
outdoor unit’s ventilation.
Is it in working order?
Check the compressor
resistance values.
Are they the same? Replace the compressor.
Replace the outdoor PCB.
