Refrigerant Leakage Detection diagnosis and solution (EC)
Description: Define the evaporator coil temp.T2 of the compressor. The compressor starts running in Tcool. At first, 5 minutes after the
compressor starts up, if T2 <Tcool-35.6F (Tcool-2C) does not run for 4 seconds and this situation occurs 3 times, the display area displays
“EC” and the air conditioner turns off.
Possible causes:
• Faulty T2 sensor
• Faulty indoor PCB
• System problems, such as leaks or blockages

Check for cool air blowing out
from the indoor air outlet.

Power off, then restart the
unit 2 minutes later.
Replace the indoor PCB.
