Start and Stop Operation
•Press POWER to power on the controller.

With the unit is in HEAT mode press the down
arrow until the setpoint is 60°F (16°C). Press the
down arrow two times within one seconds to
activate the FREEZE PROTECTION function
(heating set back). The unit will now operate at a
set temperature of 46°F (8°C). The indoor unit
display shows FP. No icon appears on the remote
control.
NOTE: This function is only available in the
HEATING mode.
Under this function, the unit heats at high fan
speed until the space temperature is 46°F (8°C).
This mode can also be deactivated by pressing
POWER, MODE, FAN SPEED, TIMER, or either
ADJUST arrow.
To Set the Operation Mode
•Press MODE (see Fig. 12) to set the
OPERATION MODE (see Fig. 13) (HEAT
function is invalid for a COOL only type unit).

When the mode is selected as emergency
heating (single-on electric auxiliary heating)
mode, the AUX icon appears in the MODE area,
the fan speed displays AUTOMATIC WIND, the
fan speed key no longer responds.
There are no SLEEP, FREEZE PROTECTION,
TURBO functions in the emergency HEATING
mode.
When the mode is selected as HEATING +
ELECTRIC AUXILIARY HEATING mode, the
icons appear in the mode area and the TURBO
function does not respond.
