Maintenance
1.General
Removeanyresiduesofmaterialimmediatelyafterwork-
ingonsoil.Checkthemachinevisuallyforcontamination
andclean,ifnecessary.
Retightenthescrewsandbolts,ifnecessary.Ifthema-
chineisinstandstillforalongperiod,checkallfunctions
atregularintervals.
Visuallyinspectthemachinefor

Cracksonimportantcomponentsandwelds
•
Conditionofelasticsuspensions
•
Leakagesforfuel,engineoil,hydraulicoil,airintake
system.
2.BATTERY
Checktheelectrolytelevelinthecellevery100hours.It
shouldbe10to15mmabovetheplates.Ifnecessary,
topupusingdistilledwater.Checktheelectrolytelevel
morefrequentlyinsummer.Ensurethattheconnecting
andcableterminalsarequiteclean,tightandcoatedwith
petroleumjellyorVaseline.DOnotapplygreaseonthe
terminals,astheydomoreharmthangood
MagicEye:AMagicEye"isprovidedonbattery,Ifit
isgreenbatteryischarged.Ifitiswhite,batteryneeds
tobecharged.Anditwillberedifbatteryisdischarged.
Rechargethebatteryinlowcurrenti.e.35A.
Checkingthechargingconditions:Checkthecharging
conditionsofthebatteryevery200husinganacidhy-
drometer.Inwinter,itisessentialthatthebatterybewell
charged,astheelectrolyteinadischargedbatteryfreezes
moreeasilythaninabatterythatiswellcharged.Therec-
ommendedspecicgravityis1.240.
NOTE:Ifthemachinehasbeenidleformorethan45
days,pleasecheckthespecicgravityofthebatteryand
rechargethebatteryifnecessary.
NOTICE:Neverapproachthebatterieswithanaked
ame.Handlethemetallicwrenchcarefullytoavoid
touchingthebatteryhousingortheconnectorstripson
topofthebatteries.
