Atkeyon,A-01willreceivekeyswitchedpowerfromKeySwitchS-02anditsignitioncircuitiscomplete.
Priortotheoperation,thecombineenginemustberunning,the(normallyopencontact)SeatSwitchS-05mustbe
closed,andthe(normallyopencontact)ParkBrakeSwitchS-09mustbeintheONposition.
WhenthecombineengineisrunningtheoperatorcanincreaseordecreasetheenginespeedbyusingtheEngine
ThrottlePotentiometerR-21.Theenginespeedwillincreasebymovingtheleverforwardordecreasebymovingthe
levertotherear.TheRight-HandModuleRHMsendstheenginespeeddatatoCombineControlModule2CCM-12,
usingthesharedCANsignallines.ThenCCM-2usestheenginespeedtocalculatetheamountofairenteringthe
combineandsendsthedatatotheA-01.TheA-01usesthisdatatoadjusttheamountfueltobedeliveredtothe
cylinders.TheA-01alsousesdatafromtheCoolantT emperatureSensorB-44,theEngineCamshaftRPMSensor
B-07,andtheEngineFlywheelRPMSensorB-05.TheB-44isusedtomonitortheenginetemperatureandcalculate
theproperfuelratio.TheB-07isusedtomonitorthecamshaftpositiontodeterminewhichinjectortore.Lastly,the
B-05isusedtomonitorthecrankshaftpositiontodeterminewhichinjectortore.
WhentheA-01hasdeterminewhichinjectortore,itenergizestheinjector'ssolenoidandhighpressurizedfuelwill
begantoowthroughthevalveandsquirtoutthroughthenozzleintothecylinder.
