AIRBORNE NOISE EMISSION
Listed below are the recommended noise levels at
the operator's seat measured in dBa, according to the
ISO 5131 standard. The noise is measured with all
mechanisms engaged and running at normal
operating speed for the specified use of the product
and without crop flow through the machine.
To enable measurement of noise level at the
operator's seat produced by the tractor - implement
combination, it must be noted that the airborne noise
produced by the implement pulled behind the tractor
is measured at a distance of 200 mm (8.0 in) behind
the rear window position of an average tractor
suitable for operating the implement.
On tractors with cabs provided all windows, doors
and other possible openings are kept closed; it is
obvious that the real noise level at the operator's seat
will be significantly lower. The exact level will depend
on the noise insulation qualities of the cab.
On tractors without a cab or when working with the
cab doors or windows open, it is recommended to use
ear protection equipment when the noise level
exceeds 85 dBa. In several countries this is
mandatory, so check local legislation
