Replacing the V-Belt

Replacing the V-Belt
The procedures stated in this section should be performed by two
persons.
In the case of replacing the V-belts, be sure to change both of the
two belts.
REMOVAL
1. Detach the frame cover.
(See [D-1: Removing the Frame Covers].)
2. Loosen the adjust screws of the V-belt tension pulley to free
the V-belt tension pulley. (Fig. 1)
3. While rotating the pulley A, remove the two V-belts. (Fig. 2)
ASSEMBLE
1. Hook the two V-belts on the large pulley, tension pulley and
the small pulley.
2. To obtain an adequate tension of the V-belt, use a spring bal-
ancer (special tool) to adjust the position of the V-belt tension
pulley.
A.Insert the spring balancer as depicted through between the
frames until the tip of the scale come to the position of the V-
belt tension pulley. (Fig. 3)
B.Press the spring balancer until the reading is 10kg. While
maintaining this status, tighten the adjust screw.
3. Mount the frame cover.
