Maintenance Features:
- General Care: Always disconnect the appliance from electricity and turn off the water supply before any care or maintenance. Allow the appliance to cool down to prevent scalding.
- Water Inlet Filters: Filters on the tap side and the end of the water inlet hose should be cleaned approximately once a year to prevent ingress of dirt. This involves removing the hose, cleaning the filter with pliers or a brush, and replacing filters and seals.
- Pump Filter: Located at the bottom of the machine, it helps prevent ingress of lint or foreign objects into the drain pump. It should be cleaned regularly, every two to three months. Cleaning involves unplugging, placing a container to collect water, loosening the cover, removing the filter, cleaning it, and refitting.
- Detergent Drawer: Residues can build up, so the drawer should be cleaned regularly. This involves pulling out the drawer, pressing down on the blue siphon lid, removing the drawer and siphon, washing with warm water and a brush, and replacing.
- Washing Machine Exterior: Clean with warm soapy water or a gentle cleaning agent. Do not use abrasive cleaning products or solvents. Wipe dry with a soft cloth.
- The Drum: Do not leave metal objects inside. To remove rust stains, use a chlorine-free cleaner. Never use abrasive products.
- Limescale Removal: If required, follow the manufacturer's warnings for limescale removers. Limescale removers containing acids may affect clothes or damage the appliance.
- Troubleshooting: The manual provides a table of probable causes and methods of elimination for common faults, such as the machine not starting, not filling with water, not draining water, vibrating, stopping before completing a wash cycle, excessive foam, or failing to spin. For more complex issues, contact CDA Customer Care or an authorized service agent.
- Warranty and Service: The manufacturer is not liable for damage caused by improper use. Repairs by unqualified persons may endanger the user. Spare parts are available for 7 or 10 years depending on the type and purpose of the spare part. The minimum warranty period is given in the warranty card.
