Spread tripod legs, extend leg sections, and ensure level height for stable setup.
Loosen altitude rod guide, insert altitude rod, and secure tube to yoke mount.
Attach accessory tray and install the finderscope onto the telescope tube.
Loosen focuser setscrews, insert eyepiece, and tighten screws to secure.
Insert Barlow lens into focuser, then insert eyepiece for doubled magnification.
Download the StarSense Explorer app from your device's app store.
Launch the app and enter the activation code from the postcard.
Move telescope left/right with azimuth knob and up/down with slow motion rod.
Use slow motion rods for precise increments and understand travel range.
Center a distant object in the main eyepiece during the day.
Adjust finderscope knobs until its red dot aligns with the centered object.
Attach the StarSense smartphone dock to the telescope mount.
