Insert the low-powered eyepiece into the telescope.
Place your smartphone securely into the StarSense Dock.
Center your phone's camera view in the dock's mirror using the adjustment knobs.
Align phone view with telescope view by pointing at a distant object at least a quarter-mile away.
Center the distant object precisely within the telescope's eyepiece.
Adjust the phone's camera view until the object is centered in the app's crosshairs.
Tap the StarSense icon to check or initiate telescope alignment in the app.
Select a celestial object from the planetarium view to target it.
Use the Star icon to find and select 'Tonight's Best' objects for observation.
The selected object's name is displayed at the bottom of the planetarium screen.
The bullseye icon shows the current pointing direction of the telescope.
Use slow-motion controls and on-screen arrows to guide the telescope to the target.
Stop and wait for the telescope to sense stars as you approach the target.
If the bullseye is yellow, continue aligning with the arrows until the target is centered.
A green bullseye indicates successful object location, ready for viewing.
