APPENDIX B:. Keypad addresses and zone allocation
C612 control panel accepts up to 8 keypads. Each keypad is identified by its own address which can be established using the DIL switch on the keypad PCB. The KP-126Pz / KP-164Pz
LED keypads if are used in the system, can accept only addresses from 1 to 4 (having only 2 switches – DIL 1 and DIL 2), therefore if you need more than 4 keypads, the higher
addressed keypads will be LCD types only. The LCD keypads, model KP16LCD and KP16LCDL have one DIL-switch with 4 positions, like presented in the table. The 4
th
switch position
(the one in the right) is not important for keypad address programming.
The table below shows how to set the keypad addresses:

KP-126Pz / KP-164Pz, KP16LCD and KP16LCDL keypads have two fully programmable zone inputs. The algorithm of zone allocation is the following:
- ATZ (zone doubling) has the highest priority;
- if the low zones (zone number 1 to 6/8) are not all doubled, the zones that can be used as extensions will be assigned from the keypads’ zones. The control panel will map
the enabled zones of the keypads, shifting on the empty zones places (those not occupied by doubling) with respect to the keypads’ addresses and the zone number on each
keypad.
Example: The system have 4 keypads, with addresses from 1 to 4, on keypads 1, 2 and 4 only zones 1 are enabled, and on keypad 3 both zones are enabled. Furthermore, zone 2 of
the control panel has the ATZ attribute enabled. In this case, system zones will be the following:
- zones 1 to 6/8 are the main zones of the panel;
- zone 8 will be the double zone of zone 2;
- zone 7 is zone 1 on the keypad with address 1;
- zone 9 is zone 1 on the keypad with address 2;
