If the lamp doesn't light, check the fuse box or circuit breaker. Also, ensure all door locks are disabled and that there is no ice or snow buildup restricting the door's movement. Finally, the garage door spring may be broken and need replacement.

  If your Chamberlain Garage Door Opener door opens but won't close, check the cable tension monitor. If the opener lights blink, check the safety reversing. If it is a new installation and the opener lights don’t blink, see Adjustment Step 2. For an existing installation, see below. Repeat the safety reverse test after the adjustment is complete.

Use the emergency release handle to disconnect the door, allowing it to be opened and closed manually. When power is restored, pull the manual release a second time. If a Battery Backup Unit is connected, the opener should operate up to 20 times without power.

  If your Chamberlain Garage Door Opener door opens and closes by itself, make sure that all remote control push buttons are off. If the issue persists, remove the bell wire from the door control terminals and operate the opener using only the remote. If this resolves the problem, the door control may be faulty and need replacement, or there might be an intermittent short on the wire between the control console and the motor unit. Also, try clearing the memory and reprogramming all remote controls.
