Overview

The Chancee M50 Floor Scrubber is a versatile and user-friendly cleaning machine designed for various commercial and industrial environments. This instruction manual provides comprehensive details on its operation, maintenance, and technical specifications, ensuring safe and efficient use.

Function Description

The M50 Floor Scrubber is engineered to clean hard floors effectively. It utilizes a brush plate for scrubbing and a squeegee system for collecting dirty water, leaving floors dry and clean. The machine is suitable for a wide range of surfaces including epoxy, PVC, terrazzo, ceramic tile, wood, and rubber floors. Its primary function is to provide a thorough cleaning solution for areas such as restaurants, schools, hospitals, factories, supermarkets, and office buildings.

Important Technical Specifications

The M50 Floor Scrubber is available in two types: Wire type and Wireless type, with some differences in their specifications, particularly regarding power and weight.

General Specifications:

  • Suction motor (W): 400 W for both Wire and Wireless types.
  • Brush plate motor (W): 550 W for both Wire and Wireless types.
  • System voltage (V): 220 V for both types.
  • Grade ability (%): 8% for both types, indicating its capability to operate on inclines.
  • Cleaning width (mm): 510 mm for both types.
  • Brush plate width (mm): 510 mm for both types.
  • Squeegee width (mm): 825 mm for both types, ensuring efficient water collection.
  • Theoretical working efficiency (m²/h): 2,800 m²/h for both types, highlighting its high productivity.
  • Clean water tank capacity (L): 50 L for both types.
  • Sewage tank capacity (L): 55 L for both types.
  • Product size (mm): 1,290 * 825 * 1,055 mm for both types.

Type-Specific Specifications:

  • Battery capacity (V/Ah):
    • Wire type: Not applicable (indicated by '/').
    • Wireless type: 24/100 V/Ah, indicating it is battery-powered.
  • Total weight (kg):
    • Wire type: 111 kg.
    • Wireless type: 151 kg, heavier due to batteries.
  • Working time (h):
    • Wire type: Not applicable (indicated by '/'), as it is continuously powered.
    • Wireless type: 2-3 hours, indicating battery endurance.

The machine is powered by two 12 V maintenance-free lead-acid batteries, resulting in a total system voltage of 24 V for the wireless model.

Usage Features

The M50 Floor Scrubber is designed with user-friendliness and safety in mind.

Operation:

  • Controlling Panel: Features a switch button, brush plate button, suction motor button, and a voltmeter.
  • Walking of the Machine: Can be pushed forward with the brush plate and squeegee lifted when the general switch is off. When the general switch is on, it can be pushed forward with the brush plate and squeegee lowered and started. It's crucial to lift the squeegee when pulling the machine backward to prevent deformation of the strip and sheet metal.
  • Scrubbing the Floor: Involves putting down the brush plate and squeegee, turning on the switch, drain switch (to start the electromagnetic valve and brush plate), brush plate button (to rotate the brush plate), and suction motor button (to activate suction). The machine is then pushed forward for cleaning. A critical note advises against leaving the brush plate motor on in the same spot for too long to avoid leaving marks on the ground.
  • Discharging Sewage: Requires stopping the machine and turning off the general switch. The sewage discharging pipe is then lowered, its cap opened, and the sewage discharged. The sewage tank should be washed with clean water afterward.
  • Stopping the Machine: After work, the sewage tank should be discharged, the machine moved to storage, all buttons on the control panel turned off, and the brush plate and squeegee lifted.
  • Charging Batteries (Wireless Type): The voltmeter indicates battery level. When the last bar flashes, immediate charging is required. Deep discharging (below 21 V) should be avoided to prolong battery life. Charging involves installing batteries first, then connecting to the mains. For long-term storage, batteries should be fully charged and disconnected.

Safety Instructions:

  • Do NOT use the machine under the influence of alcohol or medicine.
  • Turn off the machine before any maintenance or repair.
  • Only trained and competent personnel should operate the machine; children and disabled people are forbidden.
  • Keep batteries away from sparks, flame, and smoke.
  • Do NOT use in places with flammable or explosive liquids, gases, or vapor.
  • Avoid loose clothing and keep body parts away from moving components during operation.
  • Do NOT smoke while charging batteries.
  • Use a powder extinguisher for electrical fires, not water.
  • Proper disposal of the machine at end-of-life is required due to harmful substances.

Maintenance Features

Regular maintenance is crucial for extending the service life of the M50 Floor Scrubber.

Cleaning:

  • Wheels: Check regularly and remove entanglements.
  • Sewage Tank and Pipe: Clean regularly with clean water.
  • Water Valve Filter: Clean the filter and its transparent cover if impurities are present by unscrewing and washing repeatedly.
  • Machine Body: Do NOT wash directly with water as it is not strictly water-proof, which could lead to short-circuits or burning.

Maintenance of Components:

  • Brush Plate Replacement:
    1. Position the machine on flat ground and lower the brush plate.
    2. Rotate the plastic handle counterclockwise to remove the brush.
    3. Lift the brush plate slightly by grabbing the bristles and shaking it side to side to remove it.
    4. When installing a new brush plate, align the flange plate with the holes on the brush plate and rotate it to secure.
    5. For needle plate installation, add a scouring pad to the bottom and follow the same steps. Consumables like needle plates and scouring pads can be purchased from the original manufacturer.
  • Squeegee Strip Replacement:
    1. Lower the squeegee using the lifting button, rotate the plastic handle, and remove the squeegee.
    2. Remove the rear wheels, use a wrench to remove fixing nuts, unscrew the fixing knob of the squeegee bar, and then take out the bar, front strip, rear strip, and squeegee.
    3. Install the new squeegee and tighten the rear wheels and fixing nuts.
  • Battery Maintenance: Wear gloves when maintaining batteries to avoid contact with acid. Check battery cords for wear and connecting parts for looseness, replacing if necessary. Keep batteries dry and clean, free from dust, and avoid placing objects (especially metallic) on them.

Storage:

  • For long-term storage, remove and wash the squeegee and brush plate, storing them in a dry, clean place, preferably in an airtight plastic container.
  • Ensure water tanks are discharged and cleaned.
  • Charge the battery before storage and regularly (at least once a month) to maintain power.

Troubleshooting: The manual provides solutions for common problems such as:

  • Batteries not charging (charger failure, oxidized charging port).
  • Suction motor or brush plate motor not working (blown fuse).
  • No water outlet (blocked clean water pipe, impurities in filter, electromagnetic valve failure).
  • Loud noise (squeegee in wrong position, broken suction motor).
  • Brush plate issues (drops often due to improper operation, worn buckle).
  • Low water suction efficiency (blocked floating ball cage, blocked suction pipe, cracked sewage tank sealing, cracked squeegee strip).

Warranty and After-Sale Services:

  • Warranty Period: Seven-day guaranteed return, fifteen-day guaranteed replacement, one-year warranty for the whole machine, and 6-month warranty for damaged parts (fuses, universal wheels, electromagnetic valve, flange buckles, filter). Consumables (brush plate, scouring pad, needle plate, sealing strip) have no warranty.
  • Warranty Conditions: Requires the delivery receipt and purchase invoice.
  • Cases Not Covered: Damage due to operator's failure to perform maintenance, obvious damage from improper operation, unauthorized disassembly or modification, damage due to weather or force majeure, expired warranty, or machine usage exceeding 1,500 hours.

The Chancee M50 Floor Scrubber is a robust and efficient cleaning solution, backed by clear instructions for optimal performance and longevity.
