Why does my Char-Broil Grill keep flaring up?
    • A
      Ashley ColeAug 15, 2025
Flare-ups on your Char-Broil Grill can occur due to grease buildup, excessive fat in the meat you're cooking, or an excessively high cooking temperature. To resolve this, clean the burners and the inside of the grill/firebox. Trim excess fat from meat before grilling. Also, adjust the cooking temperature to a lower setting.

Why is the flame so low on my Char-Broil 463241314 Grill?
    • D
      Dr. Jasmine AndersonAug 19, 2025
A sudden drop in gas flow or low flame on your Char-Broil Grill can be due to several reasons: the LP cylinder may be out of gas, the excess flow valve may have tripped, or there may be a vapor lock at the coupling nut/LP cylinder connection. Check the gas level in your LP cylinder. If there is gas, turn off the knobs, wait 30 seconds, and then light the grill. If the flames are still low, turn off the knobs and LP cylinder valve, disconnect the regulator, reconnect it, perform a leak test, turn on the LP cylinder valve, wait 30 seconds, and then light the grill. Alternatively, turn off the knobs and LP cylinder valve, disconnect the coupling nut from the cylinder, reconnect it, and try again.

Why won't my Char-Broil Grill ignite, and there's no sound from the spark module?
    • C
      calebpaulAug 22, 2025
If no sparks appear at any electrodes when the electronic ignition button is pressed, and no noise can be heard from the spark module of your Char-Broil Grill, it could be due to several reasons: the battery might not be installed properly, the battery may be dead, the button assembly might not be installed correctly, or the spark module itself could be faulty. Ensure the battery is installed correctly with the “+” and “–” connectors oriented correctly, with “+” on the cap end. Try replacing the battery with a new alkaline battery. Unscrew the button cap assembly and reinstall it, making sure the threads are aligned and engaged fully. If none of these steps work, consider replacing the spark module assembly.

Mr. Michael Harding IIIAug 26, 2025

How to fix a Char-Broil 463241314 burner that won't light from the others?
    • M
      michael69Aug 29, 2025
If one burner does not light from the other burners on your Char-Broil Grill, it is likely due to grease buildup or food particles in the end(s) of the carryover tube(s). Clean the carry-over tube(s) with a wire brush.

How to prevent flames from blowing out on my Char-Broil Grill?
    • M
      mackenziewallSep 4, 2025
Flames blowing out on your Char-Broil Grill can be caused by high or gusting winds, low LP gas, or a tripped excess flow valve. To address this, turn the front of the grill to face the wind or increase the flame height. Refill the LP cylinder if it's low. If the excess flow valve tripped, refer to the “Sudden drop in gas flow” solutions.

Why are the sparks weak on my Char-Broil 463241314 Grill?
    • M
      Michael AlexanderSep 7, 2025
If sparks are present but not at all electrodes or not at full strength on your Char-Broil Grill, it could be due to several reasons: output lead connections not connected, arcing to the grill away from the burner(s), a weak battery, wet electrodes, or cracked or broken electrodes. Remove and reconnect all output connections at the module and electrodes. If sparks are observed other than from the burner(s), the wire insulation may be damaged, so replace the wires. Replace the battery with a new alkaline battery. Use a paper towel to remove moisture from the electrodes. Replace cracked or broken electrodes.

What causes flashback in my Char-Broil 463241314 Grill burner tubes?
    • M
      Meredith BradleySep 12, 2025
A flashback, or fire in the burner tubes, of your Char-Broil Grill indicates that the burner and/or burner tubes are blocked. Turn the knobs to OFF and clean the burner and/or burner tubes.
