What to do if Char-Broil Grill has a sudden drop in gas flow or low flame?
    • C
      christopherwilliamsJul 29, 2025
A sudden drop in gas flow or low flame in your Char-Broil Grill might happen because you are out of gas, the excess flow valve has tripped, or there's a vapor lock at the coupling nut/LP cylinder connection. First, check the gas level in your LP cylinder. If that's not the issue, turn off the knobs, wait 30 seconds, and light the grill. If the flames are still low, turn off the knobs and LP cylinder valve, disconnect the regulator, reconnect it, and perform a leak test. Then, turn on the LP cylinder valve, wait 30 seconds, and light the grill. If it's a vapor lock, turn off the knobs and LP cylinder valve, disconnect the coupling nut from the cylinder, reconnect it, and try again.

How to fix Char-Broil Grill when one burner does not light from other burners?
    • Q
      qporterAug 2, 2025
If one burner on your Char-Broil Grill does not light from the other burners, it could be due to grease buildup or food particles in the end(s) of the carryover tube(s). Clean the carry-over tube(s) with a wire brush.

How to stop Char-Broil Grill flare ups?
    • M
      Maxwell OrrAug 7, 2025
Flare-ups on your Char-Broil Grill can occur due to grease buildup, excessive fat in the meat, or excessive cooking temperature. To resolve this, clean the burners and the inside of the grill/firebox. Trim fat from the meat before grilling. Also, adjust the cooking temperature accordingly by lowering it.

Why do the flames blow out on my Char-Broil Grill?
    • J
      Jeffery JohnsonAug 11, 2025
Flames blowing out on your Char-Broil Grill can be caused by high or gusting winds, or low LP gas, or tripped excess flow valve. Turn the front of the grill to face the wind or increase the flame height. If that doesn't work, refill the LP cylinder. You can also refer to the “Sudden drop in gas flow” solution.

What to do about a persistent grease fire in Char-Broil Grill?
    • K
      Kara KingAug 15, 2025
If you have a persistent grease fire in your Char-Broil Grill, turn the knobs to the OFF position and turn the gas off at the LP cylinder. Leave the lid in position and let the fire burn out. After the grill cools, remove and clean all parts, because the grease is trapped by food buildup around burner system.

What causes flashback fire in burner tubes of Char-Broil Grill?
    • S
      Sarah KellyAug 19, 2025
A flashback, or fire in the burner tubes, of your Char-Broil Grill indicates that the burner and/or burner tubes are blocked. Turn the knobs to the OFF position and clean the burner and/or burner tubes. See burner cleaning section of Use and Care.

How to fix Char-Broil Grill timer when the green light does not flash?
    • J
      James ParksAug 25, 2025
If the timer on your Char-Broil Grill isn't working and the green light doesn't flash, it could be due to a dead battery, incorrectly installed batteries, or the knob position not starting the clean cycle. Replace the batteries. Ensure the batteries are installed correctly. Push the knob in to start the clean cycle (the green LED should begin to flash).
