What to do if burner(s) will not light using ignitor on Char-Broil Grill?
    • J
      James DunnAug 12, 2025
If the burner(s) on your Char-Broil Grill will not light using the ignitor, it could be due to several reasons related to the ignitor system. For PIEZO push-button and rotary ignitors: the push-button might be sticking at the bottom, or the rotary knob might be rotating without clicking, or there may be sparking between the ignitor and electrode. To fix this, replace the ignitor or the knob. Also, inspect the wire insulation and ensure proper connection; replace the wires if the insulation is broken.

Why is there a sudden drop in gas flow in my Char-Broil Grill?
    • K
      Kimberly NunezAug 23, 2025
A sudden drop in gas flow or low flame in your Char-Broil Grill can occur due to several reasons. It could be that you are out of gas, or the excess flow valve has tripped. Another potential cause is a vapor lock at the coupling nut/LP cylinder connection. To resolve this, first, check if there is gas in the LP cylinder. If the cylinder has gas, turn off the control and tank knobs, wait 30 seconds, then turn the tank knob on slowly and try to light the grill. If the flames are still low, turn off the control and tank knobs again and disconnect the regulator. Reconnect the regulator, turn the tank knob on slowly, and then light the grill.

What to do if my Char-Broil Grill has flare-ups?
    • D
Dr. Daniel Robinson MDAug 27, 2025
Flare-ups in your Char-Broil Grill are often due to grease buildup, excessive fat in the meat, or excessive cooking temperature. To address this, clean the burners and the inside of the grill/firebox. Trim the fat from the meat before grilling to reduce grease. Also, adjust the cooking temperature to a lower setting.

What to do if flames blow out on Char-Broil Grill?
    • C
      Chad LuceroAug 31, 2025
If the flames on your Char-Broil Grill are blowing out, it could be due to high or gusting winds, low LP gas, or a tripped excess flow valve. To fix this, turn the front of the grill to face the wind or increase the flame height. If that doesn't work, refill the LP cylinder. You can also refer to the instructions for a sudden drop in gas flow.
