itself

excessively

wear
on piston pins, camshaft
bear-

parts

the
engine, oftentimes causing
the
owner
to
blame
the
truck
manufacturer
or
the
lubricating
oil
when
in
reality
the
trouble
may
be
traced
back
to
the
character
of fuel used,
or
a condition of
the
engine,
such
as
excessive blow-by
or
improper
carburetor
adjustment.

bearing
water
pump
does
not
require
lubrication
by
the
truck
owner.

jelly

distributor
cam
surface

clean
cloth which
has
been
soaked
in
jelly against
it
wh
ile
cranking

tarter.

lubrication
requirements
of
Heavy-Duty
Hypoid
Truck
Axles differ
somewhat
from
the
Passenger
Car
Hypoid Axle.
The
truck
operates
under
the
most severe lubricati
on
condi-
tions
in
low
gear
under
he
avy load while
the
passenger
car
operates
under
the
most
severe
lubrication conditions
at
high
speed.
