4.8.3. Notes concerning the use of rubber valves
The rubber valve (part no. 121860) can be used to connect wide-
neck filter bottles, round-bottom flasks and other accessories to a
manifold or to a drying chamber.
The valve has two positions (see the illustration). The valve lever
can be set such that the ancillary component that is connected to
the vessel connection can be connected to the freeze dryer (1) or
that it can be aerated (2). As a result, it is possible to exchange
vessels during the freeze-drying process.
