The Christie Cinema 2K-RBe series (CP2406-RBe, CP2409-RBe, and CP2411-RBe) are high-brightness cinema projectors designed for professional use in cinema environments. These projectors are equipped with advanced features to ensure optimal image quality, reliability, and ease of use.
Function Description
The Cinema 2K-RBe projectors are designed to display digital video content, primarily for cinema applications. They utilize a three-chip 0.69-inch CFB DC2K light engine, which provides a powerful and consistent light source. The projectors support various video input formats, including HDMI 2.0 and SDI, allowing for flexible content delivery from integrated media blocks (IMBs) or external sources. A key feature is the LiteLOC™ sensor-to-screen calibration, which ensures that color and brightness are maintained at desired levels, adapting to varying screen sizes, room temperatures, and content types (2D, 3D, and alternative content). The projectors also offer mechanical and electronic image adjustment capabilities for precise alignment and convergence.

Usage Features
- Installation: The projector requires a minimum of four people or appropriate lift equipment for safe installation. It must be installed in a landscape orientation with all four feet supported on a level surface. Optional exhaust ducting is available for thermal management.
- Power Connection: Requires a permanent AC connection. An optional UPS connector provides backup power for electronics. Certified wall breakers (up to 20A for main input, 10A for UPS input) are required.
- Projector Components: Features adjustable feet for height, a projector lens, air filter intake, top cover, status LED board, optional touch panel mount, card cage for external devices and fire alarm interlock, and multiple air intake/exhaust points.
- Power Modes: Supports "Projector on" (CineLife+ electronics and light engine on, LOS off, IMB on), "Light source on" (CineLife+ electronics and light engine on, LOS on, fans at full speed, IMB on), "Standby" (CineLife+ electronics on, light engine off, fans and LOS off, IMB off), and "Hibernate" (Ethernet PHY for Wake On LAN enabled, other parts off). An "IMB powered in Standby" mode turns on the IMB and increases airflow for cooling.
- Web User Interface (Web UI): Allows access to projector functionality via a web browser. Default IP address is 192.168.206.110.
- Projector Operation: Turn on/off the projector and light source using the Web UI or physical controls. The light source has a three-minute cool-down period when turned off.
- Integrated Media Block (IMB) Preferences: Allows selection and activation of IMBs, with a "marriage" process to enable encrypted content display.
- Image Adjustment:
- Calibrating Intelligent Lens System (ILS): Automatic calibration of the lens system for focus and backflash.

- Adjusting Tilt and Leveling: Manual adjustment of the projector's tilt and level using adjustable feet.
- Correcting Keystone Effect: Manual adjustment of the projector's position to correct distorted images.
- Adjusting the Fold Mirror: Manual adjustment using hex drivers to correct image missing or shadowed corners/edges.
- Displaying Test Patterns: Various test patterns (e.g., RGB-2K-Boresight, RGB-2K-Convergence) are available for image setup and diagnostics, supporting 2D and 3D modes at different frame rates.
- Aligning the Boresight: Adjusts lens mount tilt to compensate for screen-to-projector tilt, using adjustment screws on the lens mount.
- Mechanically Adjusting Digital Micromirror Device (DMD) Convergence: Corrects misaligned colors (red, green, blue) using adjustment screws on the light engine, requiring stabilization time for optics.
- Electronic Color Correction (ECC): Electronically adjusts convergence to overlap color sprites for a single white sprite, using the Web UI.
- Correcting On-Screen Color: Utilizes Measured Color Gamut Data (MCDG) and Pureformity Color™ Technology (PCT) to achieve optimal color and brightness uniformity.
