Commercial-grade strength and capability get a
major upgrade with a raft of new performance and
functional features for Ram Chassis Cabs, starting
with the new 6.4-liter HEMI
®
V8 gas powerplant
and exceptional new weight ratings: an available
7,000-lb front GAWR with the 6.4L HEMI on
4500/5500 models; available 7,250-lb front
GAWR with the 6.7-liter Cummins
®
Turbo on
4500/5500 models; an all-new available 14K
GVWR for Ram 3500 Dually with either gas or
diesel power; and a new 10.5K–12K GVWR on
3500 SRW models. Now add a new, heavy-duty
three-link front suspension on Ram 3500 (with
new front axle disconnect on 4x4s), new fuel
tank configurations, new wheel choices and
new alternator availability. In short, this is upfit-
friendly capability that sets the benchmark
for business: the 2014 Ram Chassis Cabs.
PRODUCT HIGHLIGHTS
New 6.4-liter HEMI V8 engine: 410 hp/429 lb-ft torque (with the
available AISIN
®
6-speed heavy-duty automatic transmission), and
370 hp/429 lb-ft (with 66RFE 6-speed) — Standard, all models
6.7-liter Cummins Turbo Diesel engine in two power variants
deliver exceptional torque: 320 hp/650 lb-ft (mated to the
6-speed manual), and the 325 hp/750 lb-ft calibration (mated to
the AISIN 6-speed automatic with ERS) — Available, all models
5.7-liter HEMI V8: 383 hp/400 lb-ft of torque with the 6-speed
automatic transmission — Available, 3500 SRW models only
Electronic Range Select (ERS) enables manual shifting for greater
control — Standard with the 6-speed automatic transmission
New single-rear-wheel models are now available in Regular Cab
and Crew Cab configurations with both gas and diesel engines
New tandem (self-leveling) fuel tanks combine the 52- and
22-gallon tanks for 74 gallons total — Available
Upfitter-friendly instrument panel features a mounted auxiliary
switch bank with four hardwired switches — Standard
Electric-over-hydraulic integrated Trailer Brake Controller Available
PTO Prep Package has programmable engine rpm when PTO is
engaged, with single-set PTO speed and torque converter lockup
in PTO mode — Available
Cummins Turbo Diesel will maintain full power when DEF system
