2 INSTALLATION
2.1 Initial Information
Measure the length of the perimeter to be protected. It is then possible to calculate how many
Sioux-CU-Pro2 will be required.
Each Sioux-CU-Pro2 system can protect maximum 1400m of fence (700m + 700m), to manage a
maximum quantity of 140 + 140 sensors and lead cable (cable not pre-wired for gates and
bypass - code SIOUXPRO2-LEAD) for each line as described below.
The sensors (1 Master-Pro2 + 6 Slave-Pro2), the plastic boxes and the cables are sold in kits of
7 pieces.
Below is a practical example for calculating CU, sensors, plastic boxes, cables, lead cables and
related RJ45 connectors.
2.1.1 Fence WITHOUT separation of panels
Example: continuous fence of the perimeter of 2540m with installation of sensors at 5m.
Number of Sioux-CU-Pro2 required
➢ 2540m / 1400m = 1,81 = 2 Sioux-CU-Pro2
Division of the perimeter with respect to the Sioux CU-Pro2
➢ 2540m = 1400m + 1140m
Calculation of sensors, cables, plastic boxes with kit conversion
➢ The number of cables and plastic boxes is equal to the number of sensors
➢ Perimeter / sensors distance
Sioux-CU-Pro2 1 → 1400m / 5m = 280 Line1=140 Line2=140
Sioux-CU-Pro2 2 → 1140m / 5m = 228 Line1=140 Line2=88 → 91
➢ To obtain the kits divide the number of sensors by 7 ALWAYS approximating in excess,
➢ then 508 / 7 = 72,57 kit = 73 kit. (140/7=20 + 140/7=20 +140/7=20 + 88/7=12,57->=13)
Lead cable calculation
➢ The total length of a line (LINE1 or LINE2) added to the lead cable, cannot exceed 800
meters.
➢ Keep in mind that each cable patch is 5,5m
➢ Subtract from 800m (available for each line) the number of cables obtained (for each line)
and multiplied by 5,5m (ex: 800-140x5,5)
➢ Regardless of the number obtained above, the total length of the lead cable
cannot exceed 300m for each single line
➢ The lead cable (50m roll) can be distributed in any part of the line
Calculation of RJ45 connectors
➢ The lead cable already contains 2 RJ45 connectors
➢ Each gate requires two RJ45 connectors
➢ It is recommended to provide some extra connectors as a spare
