10 Powering the Access Point
The AP can be powered using Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) from the Ethernet cable on either one of the
uplink ports, from an external power source such as:
Cisco Power Injector AIR-PWRINJ5= (for 802.3af) or AIR-PWRINJ6= (for 802.3at).
802.3af or 802.3at compatible PoE switching infrastructure
802.3af or 802.3at compatible power injectors
The PoE-Out port (labeled PSE) provides 802.3af power when the AP is powered by 802.3at
power, and no power output when the AP is powered by 802.3af power.
