PTY (Program Type) function
Thisfunctionenablesyoutolistentoabroadcast
ofthespeciedprogramtypewhenthe
broadcaststarts,evenifthesystemoperatesina
mode other than the Tuner mode.
• SomecountriesdonotyethavePTY
broadcast.
• IntheTAstandbymode,aTPstationhas
priorityoveraPTYbroadcaststation.
Selecting PTY
1. Touch the [
]key.
2.IfthePTYstandbymodeisOFF,touch[PTY]
buttontosetPTYstandbymodeON,[PTY]
buttonwillbelighted,and“PTY”willbe
displayed at the top of the screen.
3. Touch the [PTY Select] buttontodisplaythe
PTY Select screen.
4.TouchyourdesiredPTYpresetkeytoselect
the program type.
5. Touch [PTY Select]buttontoreturntothe
previousscreen.
Changing the PTY language
1. Touch the [ ] ] key.
2. Touch the [PTY Select]key.
3. Touch the [PTY Lang.]keytodisplaythePTY
language screen.
4.TouchthedesiredLanguagekeyyouwishto
set.
5. Touch the [PTY Lang.]buttonagaintoreturn
tothepreviousscreen.
PTY Seek
1. Select one program type in PTY preset list
screen,thentouchaseekbutton,thesystem
willstartseek.
2.TouchaSeekkey.
 Iftouchthe[
]button,thesystemseeksa
PTYbroadcastmovingupthefrequencies;
 Iftouchthe[
]button,itseeksmoving
downthefrequencies.
•  If no station with the selected PTY
broadcast can be received, the unit returns
to the previous mode.
