Please read theentire instruction manual before using theproduct and then save
it for future reference. We reserve theright for any errors in text or images and any
necessary changes made to technicaldata. In theevent of technical problems or
other queries, please contact our Customer Services.
Safety
This speaker can be used by children aged from 8 years and above if they
have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of theappliance
in asafe way and if they understand thehazards involved. Cleaning and user
maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and
supervised. Keep thespeaker and its charger lead out of reach of children
under theage of 8.
Thespeaker may be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capability, lack of experience or knowledge which could jeopardise their
safety, provided they have been instructed in thesafe use of theproduct and
understand thehazards involved. Never let children play with thespeaker.
Thespeaker should not be taken apart or modified. Never try to open
thecasing of thespeaker. Certain uninsulated components inside the housing
carry dangerous voltages. Contact with these can lead to fire or electricshock.
Do not cover thespeaker. Adequate ventilation, with adistance of at least
5cm between thespeaker and surrounding surfaces, is necessary to prevent
thespeaker from overheating.
Place thespeaker on astable, flat surface.
Do not place thespeaker where it could fall into water or other liquids.
Do not place thespeaker in constant sunlight or near naked flames such as
wood stoves, lit candles, etc.
Never subject thespeaker to high temperatures, damp or dusty environments,
heavy vibrations or impacts.
Protect your hearing. Listening on high volume for prolonged periods can lead
to permanent hearing loss.
Thespeaker must only be repaired by qualified service technicians.
Product description
Charging
1. Connect theincluded charger lead to theUSB charging port (6) on thespeaker
and to acomputer or other USB charger.
2. TheLED indicator (5) will shine red while thebattery is charging and go out
when thebattery is fully charged.
3. Anlow-battery signal will sound whenever thebattery starts gettinglow.
Bluetooth connection
1. Press and hold [ ] until thespeaker emits anaudio signal. TheLED indicator (5)
will begin flashingblue.
2. Activate Bluetooth on thedevice to be paired with thespeaker.
3. Thespeaker will appear as BS1, Select it and pair it to your device.
Thespeaker will play avoice message and themode indicator will change to
asteady blue light to indicate that thedevice has been paired.
4. Start playback on theBluetooth device. Thevolume level and track can be
changed on either thespeaker or on your external device. Otherplayback
settings can be controlled from theexternal device.
Connecting adevice via the3.5mm aux-in socket
1. Switch thespeaker on by holding in [ ] until thespeaker emits anaudible signal.
2. Connect a3.5 mm audio cable between your device and theaux input (7) on
thespeaker.
3. Start playback on theexternal device.
4. Adjust thevolume level on thespeaker or theexternal device.
Note: Thetrack can be changed using thebuttons on thespeaker or by pressing
[ l ] once theexternal device is connected via the3.5mm socket.
Care and maintenance
Thespeaker has anIPX5 rating (dust and water jet proof) which means that it
can be subjected to water jets from all angles. Itis therefore suitable for use
in therain and very wet or humid conditions. Thespeaker is however, not
completely waterproof and should not be immersed in water or other liquid.
Clean thespeaker using alightly moistenedcloth. Useonly mild cleaning
agents, never solvents or corrosive chemicals.
If thespeaker is not to be used for along time, thebattery should be fully
charged on aregular basis (every second month) to prolong its capacity.

TheBluetooth spea-
ker will not switchon.
Thebattery might beflat. Recharge thebattery.
No sound when
theBluetooth device
is connected and
played.
Check thevolume and play/pause status on both
theexternal device and speaker.
Make sure that theBluetooth connection has been
properly established.
Test file playback on theBluetooth device first
before connecting it to thespeaker.
Try using anotherfile. Thefile may be incompatible
or damaged.
Make sure that no other wireless devices are
disrupting thecurrent Bluetooth connection.
No sound from
theexternal device
connected via the3.5
mm connection
(AUX).
Check for sufficient volume level on theconnected
device and thespeaker. Checktheplay/pause
button on theconnected device.
Check that thecable connecting thedevice and
thespeaker is undamaged and securely connected.
Test theplayback of thefile on thedevice itself
before connecting it to thespeaker.
Try using anotherfile. Thefile may be incompatible
or damaged.
