it for future reference. Wereserve theright for any errors in text or images and any
necessary changes made to technicaldata. Intheevent of technical problems or
other queries, please contact our Customer Services.
Safety
This speaker can be used by children aged from 8 years and above if they
have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of thedevice in
asafe manner and if they understand thehazards involved. Cleaning and
user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8
and supervised. Keepthespeaker and its mains lead out of reach of children
under theage of 8.
Thespeaker may be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capability, lack of experience or knowledge which could jeopardise
their safety, provided they have been instructed in thesafe use of theproduct
and understand thehazards involved. Neverlet children play with thespeaker.
Thespeaker should not be taken apart or modified. Nevertry to open
thespeaker’s casing. Certain uninsulated components inside thehousing
carry dangerous voltages. Contact with these can lead to fire or electricshock.
Do not cover thespeaker. Adequate ventilation, with adistance of at least
5 cm between ventilation ports and surrounding surfaces, is necessary to
prevent thespeaker from overheating.
Place thespeaker on astable, flat surface.
Do not place thespeaker where it could fall into water or other liquid. Donot
place any objects containing liquid on thespeaker, such as vases, drinks,etc.
Do not place thespeaker in constant sunlight or near naked flames such as
wood stoves, lit candles,etc.
Thespeaker is intended for indoor useonly.
Never subject thespeaker to high temperatures, dust, heavy vibrations,
impacts, damp or moisture.
Protect your hearing. Listening on high volume for prolonged periods can lead
to permanent hearingloss.
Thespeaker must only be repaired by qualified service technicians.
Buttons and functions
Operating instructions
Charging
1. Set the [ ON/OFF ] button (5) to OFF to turn thespeaker off (thespeaker can
be used during charging, however this will increase charging time).
2. Connect theincluded charger lead to thecharging port (3) on thespeaker and
to acomputer or other appropriate USB outlet.
- TheLED indicator (2) shines red when charging is in progress.
- TheLED indicator will extinguish once thebattery is fully charged after
about 4–5hours.
Note: Unplug thecharging cable and discontinue charging if there is arisk of
athunderstorms.
Connecting and playback from aBluetooth device
1. Set the [ ON/OFF ] button to ON to turn thespeakeron.
2. Thespeaker will emit anaudible signal and theLED indicator will display
aquick flashing blue pattern indicating that thespeaker is ready to be paired
with another device.
3. Activate Bluetooth on thedevice to be paired.
4. Select CR-1618B, from thelist as theBluetooth device to connectto.
5. Thespeaker will emit asignal and theLED indicator will slowly flash blue,
indicating that thedevice has been paired.
6. Start playback on theBluetooth device.
7. Manage thevolume and playback from your device.
8. Set the [ ON/OFF ] button to OFF to turn thespeakeroff.
Connecting and playback from anexternal device
1. Connect a3.5 mm audio cable between your device and theAUX input (1) on
thespeaker.
2. Set the [ ON/OFF ] button to ON to turn thespeakeron.
3. Thespeaker will emit asignal and theLED indicator will change to astatic
blue light to indicate that thedevice has been paired.
4. Start playback on theexternal device.
5. Manage thevolume and playback from your device.
6. Set the [ ON/OFF ] button to OFF to turn thespeakeroff.
Front LEDs
Press [ ] (4) several times to toggle between:
Rhythmic flashing to thebeat of themusic
Staticlight
Off
Care and maintenance
Clean thespeaker using alightly moistenedcloth. Useonly mild cleaning
agents, never solvents or corrosive chemicals.
If thespeaker is not to be used for along time, thebattery should be fully
charged on aregular basis (every second month) to prolong its capacity.
Troubleshootingguide
TheBluetooth
speaker will not
switchon.
Thebattery might beflat. Recharge thebattery.
No sound
when theBlue-
tooth device is
connected and
played.
Check thevolume and that play/pause has been
activated on theBluetooth device.
Make sure that theBluetooth connection has been
properly established.
Test file playback on theBluetooth device first before
connecting it to thespeaker.
Try using anotherfile. Thefile may be incompatible or
damaged.
Make sure that no other wireless devices are disrupting
thecurrent Bluetooth connection.
No sound from
theexternal
device
connected via
the3.5 mm
input (AUX).
Check thevolume and that play/pause has been
activated on thedevice.
Check that theaudio cable connecting thedevice and
thespeaker is intact and securely connected.
Test theplayback of thefile on thedevice itself before
connecting it to thespeaker.
Try using anotherfile. Thefile may be incompatible or
damaged.
