Standby mode is only suitable for use for short periods or if an
alarm has been set. To save the battery, switch the radio off
completely.
If the radio is switched on for around 15 minutes without radio
reception, it will automatically go into standby mode.
Adjusting the volume
Adjust the volume by pressing [ VOL − ] (6) or [ VOL + ] (8).
Selecting radio mode (DAB/FM)
Press [ / MODE ] to switch between DAB and FM radio.
DAB radio
The first time the radio is switched on it will automatically scan
for DAB stations. While the radio is scanning, “Scanning…” will
appear on the display along with a progress bar indicator and a
number showing how many stations have been found and saved
in the station list.
Note: If no stations are found, “No Station!” will appear on the display.
Make sure that DAB broadcasting is available in your
geographical area.
If the reception is poor, try changing the position of the aerial
or moving the radio to another location.
Refer to the Settings/Auto Scan section to carry out a new
station scan.
Press[ ] (5) or [ ] (7) and then [ SCAN / SELECT ] (3) to select
a radio station in the station list. The display will show the station
name and its number in the list.
