6.2 Connect the cables to the electrode pads
1. Insert the cable connectors into
the electrode pad connectors.
2. Push the connectors together so that
no metal is visible on any connection.
Warning: Only use electrode pads that are
approved according to: IEC/EN60601-1 and
IEC/EN60601-1-2.
6.3 Connect the cables to the TENS/EMS machine
1. First make sure the machine is
switched off.
2. Grasp an insulated part of the connector
and connect this to one of the outlets (15)
or (16) on the top.
3. It is possible to use one channel with two
electrode pads, or both channels and thus
with four electrode pads at the same time.
If you use both channels, two different
areas of the body can be stimulated
simultaneously.
6.4 Place the electrode pads on the skin
The electrode pads should only be used by one person for reasons of hygiene.
Additional electrode pads are available as an accessory (our art. no 34-4103-1).
Make sure that the skin is completely dry and clean.
1. Remove the protective backing plastic from the self-adhesive surface.
Save the protective backing plastic and refit to the electrode pads after use.
2. Wash the skin thoroughly with soap and water, wipe dry and then attach
the self-adhesive electrode pads. Make sure they make full contact over
the entire surface.
3. Start the TENS/EMS machine when the electrode pads have been
attached to the skin.
Warning: Never remove the electrode pads from the skin when
the TENS/EMS machine is switched on.
Note: See section 11. Placement of the electrode pads for information about
the exact placement of the electrode pads on the body.
