Equivalent pipe length (equivalent length of the
nearest branch)
≤ 15 m a,b,c,d,e,f
Level
dierence
Dierence in level
between indoor/
outdoor unit
Outdoor unit up ≤ 30 m
Outdoor unit down ≤ 20 m
Dierence in height between indoor units ≤ 8 m
Note: when the total equivalent length of the pipes on the liquid + gas sides is ≥ 90 m, the size of the main pipe on
the air side must be increased. Moreover, depending on the distance of the refrigerant pipe and the condition of the
corresponding indoor unit, the size of the main pipe on the gas side can be increased when the capacity decreases.
Choice of connection method
If the distance between the first branch and the last indoor unit is more than 15 m, choose the second connection method.
The pipe between the indoor unit and the nearest branch must be less than 15 m long.
