3. Assembly
3.1 Assembling the handle
1. Foldout thelock levers (9) and turn them anti-clockwise
afew turns to loosen them. Spreadtheupper handle’s(8)
ends slightly apart so thelock teeth don’t catch.
Nowfold out theupper handle to theextended position.
Screwthelock levers clockwise to tighten, and then fold
thelock levers (9) back in to their lockedpositions.
2. Loosenthelock knobs (13) by turning them anti-clockwise
afew turns. Now, fold out thelower handle to its upright
position so that thespacers’ lock tabs engage into their
cut-outs (see figure). Screwthelock knobs (13) clockwise
to tighten them securely.
3. Placethecable into thecable clip (5) then clip thecable clip
onto thelower handle.
4. Operating instructions
4.1 Battery
The battery sits under theclear dome battery
cover(2).
Removing the battery
1. Pressthelatch (16) to open thecover.
2. Pressthesafety key’s (15) spring tab to
releaseand remove it.
3. Pressthelatch (16) completely forward and
pullout thebattery.
3.2 Grass collector
1. Snaptogether thegrass collector’s upper and lower part making sure that all snap latches are secure.
Startfrom theback and work forward.
2. Screwtwo screws into theunderside of thecollector, near themouth.
3. Makesure that all thecollector’s parts are correctly assembled.
3.3 Attaching the grass collector
• Attach thecollector by opening and holding up thedischarge cover (11). Thenattach thecollector (10) to its
catches on themower and release thedischarge cover.
• Remove thecollector by lifting up thedischarge cover and then lifting thecollector up from its catches.
• The mower can even be used without thecollector if thedischarge cover is completely folded down in
theclosed position.
Inserting the battery
1. Pressthelatch (16) to open thecover.
2. Pressthesafety key’s (15) spring tab to releaseand remove it. Makesure that thesafety key does not find
it’s way into thebattery compartment.
3. Slidethebattery base into theguides and push down. Youwill first hear one click, when thebattery crosses
thelatch and another click when thelatch locks thebattery securely inplace.
