to theuser or bystanders, themachine may not be used for other purposes than that it was designed for.

functions and its proper use.
Never let children or others who do not have adequate knowledge of these instructions use theproduct.
Alwayscheck local regulations regarding age restrictions concerning theuser.
Never use themachine in theclose vicinity of bystanders and pay special attention to thepresence of
children and animals.
Remember that it is theuser who is ultimately responsible for accidents occurring to others and to property.
Never use theproduct whilst under theinfluence of drugs, alcohol or medicine. Donot use theproduct if
you are tired orsick.
Never let children or adults use thelawnmower without first having read theinstruction manual. Anyother
users must have been adequately instructed by someone capable of taking full responsibility for their safety.
1.3 General safety instructions
Make sure that thearea being cut is free from loose and foreign objects.
Never use themower without theproper clothing. Donot wear loose clothing which can get caught in
themower’s rotating parts. Alwaysuse appropriate footwear.
Make sure that theblade and blade bolt are not worn or damaged.
Make sure to regularly check thecollector for possible damage or deformations.
Adjust thecutting height so that themotor does not struggle or is overloaded.
Make sure themains voltage is consistent with thecharger’s rated voltage.
Under no circumstances may maintenance and service be performed when themotor is on (unless
otherwise instructed by theinstruction manual).
Make sure to keep hands and feet away from rotating parts. Neverstand in front of thedischarge chute.
Stop themotor immediately if you have struck aforeign object. Alwaysinspect theproduct regularly for
possible damage. Neverattempt to use theproduct until proper repairs have beenmade.
If themower begins to vibrate abnormally, turn off themotor immediately, remove its battery and investigate
thecause. Vibrations are normally asign of problems.
The mower’s battery must only be charged indoors using thesupplied charger.
Repairs to themower’s electrical parts may only be performed by aqualified service technician.
Turn off themotor and remove thesafety key if:
- The mower is left unattended.
- The rotating blade is blocked.
- Discharge chute is blocked and must be cleared.
- Some foreign object has been mowed over.
- The mower begins to vibrate abnormally.
- Repairs or adjustments must bemade.
- The mower needs to be moved between two mowing areas.
Make sure that rotating parts have stopped completely before cleaning, repairing or inspecting.
Existing safety features must not be disconnected or made inoperative.
Do not overload themower by pushing it too fast through high or thick grass.
Do not tilt themower when starting, unless absolutely necessary. Insuch cases do not tilt themower more
than necessary to start themotor and only tilt thesection facing away from theuser.
Avoid cutting wetgrass.
Avoid cutting on steep slopes.
Make sure to have good footing on slopes.
Walk, never run with themower.
Cut along theedge of slopes, never overthem.
