5.1 Changing the blade
Note: Alwaysmake sure thesafety key and
battery are removed from themower before
starting maintenance orservicing.
1. Turnthemower on its right side to inspect
theblade (22). Iftheblade is dull or
damaged it should be replaced.
2. Holdtheblade (22) using protective gloves
and loosen thebolt (23) with anappropriate
sized spanner (notincluded). Alwaysuse
work gloves when holding theblade as it
issharp.
3. Removetheblade (22) from thelocating
pins (24). Cleanif necessary.
4. Replace with anew blade and assemble
in thereverse order to theprocedures
described above. Makesure that theblade
is facing right side up and that thebolt is
securely tightened.
5.2 Troubleshooting
The problems described below can often be addressed by theuser. Ifthere is any doubt, contact
CustomerServices.
Problem Solution
Motor does
notstart.
Make sure thesafety key is correctly inserted.
Make sure thebattery is correctly inserted.
Incorrect starting procedure. Firstpress and hold thesafety button and then clasp
thecontrol lever against thehandle.
Motor stops
suddenly.
The overload protection has tripped. Letthemotor cool down. Increase cutting height.
The battery is either too warm or too cold. Letthebattery attain normal room
temperature.
Mower vibrates
during use.
Make sure there are no loose parts.
The blade is damaged. Replace it.
Make sure that theblade or its bolt is notloose.
Unsatisfactory
cutting results.
The blade is damaged or dull. Replace it.
The collector isfull.
Make sure that thecollector is not clogged.
The wrong cutting height has been set. Adjust.
The battery
cannot be
charged.
The battery is defective and needs to be replaced.
Make sure thebattery and charger terminals are clean and free from dirt and debris.
Make sure that thecharger’s plug is correctly connected to thewall socket.
The battery
goes flat after
ashort time.
The wrong cutting height has been set. Increase cutting height and push themower
alittle slower.
Wet grass. Letthegrass dry.
Thick grass. Increase cutting height and push themower alittle slower.
Make sure thebattery is not defective.
