5.1 Changing the blade
Note: Alwaysmake sure thesafety key and
battery are removed from themower before
starting maintenance orservicing.
1. Turnthemower on its right side to inspect
theblade (22). Iftheblade is dull or
damaged it should be replaced.
2. Holdtheblade (22) using protective gloves
and loosen thebolt (23) with anappropriate
sized spanner (notincluded). Alwaysuse
work gloves when holding theblade as it
issharp.
3. Removetheblade (22) from thelocating
pins (24). Cleanif necessary.
4. Replace with anew blade and assemble
in thereverse order to theprocedures
described above. Makesure that theblade
is facing right side up and that thebolt is
securely tightened.
5.2 Troubleshooting
The problems described below can often be addressed by theuser. Ifthere is any doubt, contact
CustomerServices.
Problem Solution
Motor does
notstart.
• Make sure thesafety key is correctly inserted.
• Make sure thebattery is correctly inserted.
• Incorrect starting procedure. Firstpress and hold thesafety button and then clasp
thecontrol lever against thehandle.
Motor stops
suddenly.
• The overload protection has tripped. Letthemotor cool down. Increase cutting height.
• The battery is either too warm or too cold. Letthebattery attain normal room
temperature.
Mower vibrates
during use.
• Make sure there are no loose parts.
• The blade is damaged. Replace it.
• Make sure that theblade or its bolt is notloose.
Unsatisfactory
cutting results.
• The blade is damaged or dull. Replace it.
• The collector isfull.
• Make sure that thecollector is not clogged.
• The wrong cutting height has been set. Adjust.
The battery
cannot be
charged.
• The battery is defective and needs to be replaced.
• Make sure thebattery and charger terminals are clean and free from dirt and debris.
• Make sure that thecharger’s plug is correctly connected to thewall socket.
The battery
goes flat after
ashort time.
• The wrong cutting height has been set. Increase cutting height and push themower
alittle slower.
• Wet grass. Letthegrass dry.
• Thick grass. Increase cutting height and push themower alittle slower.
• Make sure thebattery is not defective.
