Program Inhibit Indication
Established P channels can be protected from being accidentally deleted or
over-written by the insertion of Link 2 on the Microprocessor PCB inside
the transceiver (refer to figure 7.1). If an attempt is made to over-write or
delete a channel when the link is installed, the display will show prog inhib
for a few seconds when Enter is pressed. The Tx and Rx parameters can still
be accepted by entering a new channel number and pressing Enter again. To
over-write or delete existing channels, the transceiver must be switched off
and the link unsoldered. The link should be resoldered with the transceiver
switched off when the programming has been completed.
