Overview

The Comelit Mini 2738W/A is a door-entry phone with a handset, designed for Simplebus2 audio systems. It offers a range of functionalities for residential, commercial, industrial, and public buildings, facilitating audio and video communication within these environments.

Function Description:

The primary function of the Mini 2738W/A is to provide a means of communication for door entry. It is equipped with a handset for clear audio conversations. Key features include a lock-release button, allowing users to remotely open the door. Additionally, it has a P1 button that can be configured for either a generic actuator function or to call the porter switchboard, offering flexibility in system integration. An additional button is also available, which, when used with the separately purchased additional board art. 2735, provides voltage-free contacts and call repetition functionality. This allows for expanded control options and enhanced convenience. The device also includes an input for a floor door call, enabling calls from a specific floor to be routed to the door-entry phone.

The Mini 2738W/A is designed to integrate seamlessly into Simplebus2 audio systems, as well as Simplebus2 audio/video systems. It is compatible with various power supply units and kits, including art. 4888C, 1210/1210A, and 1209, making it suitable for a wide range of installation scenarios, from individual residences to small apartment blocks and residential complexes.

Usage Features:

The door-entry phone is user-friendly, with intuitive controls. The handset is designed for comfortable use, and its correct positioning on the base is ensured by invisible magnetised panels, preventing accidental dislodgement.

One of the key usage features is the adjustable ringtone volume. A 3-position selector allows users to set the ringtone at maximum, medium, or silent (privacy) mode. A red indicator light illuminates when the silent mode is enabled, providing a visual cue to the user. This privacy feature is particularly useful for avoiding disturbances.

The device's address in the system is set using a DIP-switch located on the phone card. This coding can be done at any time, even without a power supply, simplifying the installation and configuration process. The addressing table provided in the manual helps installers identify the correct DIP-switch combination for the desired address.

For installations with multiple door-entry phones or monitors sharing the same user code, the CFP button needs to be connected on only one device, ensuring all devices ring simultaneously when a call is received. The connection to the video entry system riser can be either direct or branched from a door entry monitor, offering flexibility in system architecture. When connecting to the riser, it is important to use shielded cable and avoid routing it near heavy inductive loads or power supply cables (230V/400V) to prevent interference. The maximum connection distance for this setup is 20 meters.

Maintenance Features:

Comelit products, including the Mini 2738W/A, are designed for minimal maintenance. Routine cleaning is the only required maintenance activity, and this should be carried out according to the instructions provided in the manual.

In the event of repairs, it is crucial to note that any work on the product itself must be performed exclusively by Comelit Group S.p.A. For system-level repairs, qualified technical personnel should be engaged. This ensures the integrity and proper functioning of the device and the overall system.

The product is built with durable materials, specifically ABS, and is available in White RAL9003. It is designed for surface-mounted installation and can also be desk base-mounted with a specific accessory, providing versatile placement options.

The Mini 2738W/A is a robust and reliable component for any Simplebus2 audio or audio/video communication system, offering essential functionalities with user-centric design and straightforward maintenance guidelines.
