CHAIN SHORTENING
To shorten the chain, place it against the anvil with the tooth pointing upwards, match
the first rivet under the chain-breaker tip and expel the rivet by pressing the lever;
repeat the procedure for the second rivet as well. Repeat the same operation on the
consecutive tooth by turning the chain.
PARTS TO BE REMOVED: remove n.2 teeth A, n.2 links with rivet B and n.1 drive link
C to shorten the chain by one drive link C (see Fig. 18-20).
Chain union is performed by joining the ends of the chain itself with a connecting link
and rivet B and a connecting link without rivet D.

Check that the plug of the electric saw is disconnected from the supply
power.
