Dual-State Power Button
You can configure the power button of the Compaq Deskpro
4000N Network Personal Computer to function as a suspend
button. This feature enables quick recovery from a very low
power state and promotes decreased power usage.
To configure the power button to function as a suspend button,
complete the following steps:
1. Access Computer Setup from the Compaq Utilities menu.
2. Select the Built-In Devices option.
3. Select the Power Management option.
4. Select SUSPEND in the Power Button Mode section.
For more information about the various screen and
configuration options, refer to Chapter 5, “Using Compaq
Utilities.”
5. Select File, Save Changes and Exit from the menu bar near
the top of the screen.
After configuring the power button to function as a suspend
button, press the power button to put the system in a very low
power state (suspend). Press the button again to quickly bring
the system out of suspend to full power status. To completely
turn off all power to the system, press and hold the power
button for four seconds.
Establishing Power Management Settings
Use Computer Setup, accessible through the Compaq Utilities
menu, to establish, modify, or disable Power Management
features. Refer to Chapter 5, “Using Compaq Utilities,” for
more information.
